THE EFFECTS OF OUR ECONOMY AND RECESSION IN OUR COMMUNITIES

UPDATES AND CURRENT EVENTS:

Brothers and Sisters,

We stand on the verge of yet another disaster for Durham region. As you know the Durham York Incinerator Project is closing in on one of the most crucial votes yet. So far the Region has been nearly oblivious to our pleas not to mention the outcry by of our fellow labour groups and local physicians.

As you can see in the files attached the preferred vendor, Covanta brings with them not only health and safety violations but an adversity to labour rights as well. Our brother's and sister's to the south have taken the time to warn us about what we face if this project is allowed to proceed and we must heed that warning.

The CLC in response to the motion made by the CAW Durham Region Environment Council has stated that it is opposed to incineration. Incineration makes the battle for extended producer responsibility that much harder. We cannot let people once again pay the highest price for the sins of corporations.

I am asking you today to send out this email to your members, post it in your member halls and call on your brother's and sister's to do the same. Even if you don't reside in York or Durham please remember the precedent that this incinerator project will make for other municipalities should they forge ahead as planned. This will effectively open up the flood gates and create a new market for companies like Covanta. With few long term jobs and high risk to the health and well being of humans and wildlife this is no replacement for the jobs that have been lost in this province.

Please come and stand with us and show your opposition to incineration. We will be gathering before the Site Liaison Committee meeting May 20th beginning at 530 pm on the sidewalk surrounding the Durham Region Head Quarters at Rossland and Garden in Whitby.

OUR ECONOMY AND CONSEQUENCES OF THE CURRENT RECESSION AND SO-CALLED

PEOPLE WITH AUTHORITY POWER TRIPPING

It Is Very Obvious That the Economy and Recession Is Beginning to Show with people who like to think they have control over low income, middle-class families and those who have slipped through the cracks of the current system which is away out of alignment for today's current economy in recession and is bad enough that we have government officials and muncipalities officials who like to think they are God Almighty and yet they are just ordinary people like us with a swollen heads.

It is bad enough that the above-mentioned have this personal power trip authority over those who are not on the financial standard or in a position to put these so-called people in their rightful place in a very doubtful if they have any idea of the many hurdles and consequences that that low income and middle class families had to endure because of their ignorance and proper courtesy because of their head being so fill with worldly materialistic possessions that drive one's over the age of not being true Christians or ones who hide behind some type of religion structure or proclaiming to take the word of God on his holy book to make a mark in our society and who gives them their right to prejudge or judge a mental of others who are below their level in society.

It is very funny that we have rules and regulations and we have appointments and because of authority and misunderstanding and mostly because of ignorance how people are pushed aside and are easy victims of uncontrollable circumstances because of these arrogant types of people thinking they are in control when there is only one who is control and that is our Almighty heavenly father he is known as Jesus Christ or the son of man by his real name is Yahweh.

In our current society's and communities one must be extremely careful because of the evil that is embedded in the worldly as it is today and it is very obvious there are many signs to clarify and verify that the majority of our population is of the world and is very materialistic and has no idea of how they are being controlled by government and people who are in high command under our political government that is getting richer as the poor are getting poorer well the fat cat's are purring on the sweat of the low income and middle class income families.

It is strongly recommended and advisable to be sure you know who you are dealing with and you are absolutely sure that you are able to trust them because there are many who can claim to be this or that and they are nothing but a bag wind who is willing to take you to the cleaners one way or another. Take this information on good authority of someone who has been stung recently by the above-mentioned and has learned a very valuable lesson and is willing to pass on information to those who are willing to listen.
